We never even got to try the food!

I used to love going to Joey's, it had a fun atmosphere and good food. But now everything has gone downhill. We went a few months ago, and after waiting almost an hour for our food, we found out that our waiter had actually just quit mid-shift. No one told us, and the manager was slow to respond. I have sworn to never go back, and to date i have stuck with it.

Some friends and I came up with a novel way to avoid the bad service. We got about 20-30 friends together and hired a catering service. It works out to less than $30/person (which is much cheaper than eating at Joey's)

The staff are friendly, and only there to serve you, without interuptions. Best experience, so now instead of going out, we just call the catering company. And believe me, there is no short supply of people in Calgary that are pissed off at the bad service. If anyone is interested, we used Platinum Tie Events www.platinumtie.com I hate to do the promo, but these guys were so good, I felt the need to let everyone know.

cheers!

I find the portion sizes at Moxie's to be much smaller than the other two.

Anyway, looks like Earls has the most awards!

http://www.earls.ca/about_awards.asp

http://www.joeysmedgrill.com/aboutus/awards

And I can't link to Moxie's because they are idiots who built their entire site in Flash. Way to break the web Moxie's!

Seriously though, I still can't understand how you can choose between the three...as you said, they are all so similar. If you like one, I fail to see how you don't like the rest. Seriously, I bet I could blindfold you and give you food from any of the three and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference!
